Coal City Football Foundation (CCFF) was born from a simple but powerful realization. We watched local footballers perform at the highest level, demonstrating extraordinary skills, discipline, passion, and teamwork. Then at the final whistle, they walk away from the pitch with smiles, pride, and the satisfaction of playing the game they love. It was a beautiful thing to witness.

But it also makes us think about the countless players around the world who share that same love for football, that same hunger to compete, and perhaps that same level of potential, yet may never get the opportunity to be seen.

Across Eastern Nigeria and beyond, there are players training with limited equipment, coaches developing talent with little support, and grassroot teams working tirelessly to create opportunities for young people in their communities. Sometimes, they need financial assistance or equipment. Sometimes, they need greater visibility or the right connection.

And sometimes, they simply need someone to recognize their efforts and say, “We see you.”

That is why CCFF exists.

Our mission is to support grassroots players and teams making a positive impact through football. We build relationships, learn about their challenges, and seek opportunities to provide sponsorship, equipment, exposure, and other practical support.

We also aim to serve as a pathway between grassroots football and the wider football community, helping promising talent become more visible to professional clubs, academies, scouts, and development organizations. We believe talent should not be overlooked simply because of where a player comes from or the circumstances in which they play.
